Vous cherchez un smartphone sympa sous système Android? Jetez un œil au nouveau Xperia S. C’est le premier signé Sony – sans Ericsson. Le japonais veut en faire son fleuron, et pour cela il dispose de quelques bons atouts.
Le look d’abord, qui ne passe pas inaperçu. C’est une fine dalle de verre noire, zen, un peu anguleuse, et un peu longue pour certaines poches, mais terriblement élégante. Lorsqu’on allume ce large écran de 4,3 pouces, la clarté et la précision de l’image sautent aux yeux. Pas étonnant, la densité de pixels est supérieure à celle de l’écran Retina de l’iPhone. Petite coquetterie de designer, l’appareil est traversé latéralement par une barre translucide – une antenne transparente, précise Sony, qui s’éclaire lors des appels. Esthétiquement, c’est très réussi. Trois icônes de commande (home, retour et menu contextuel) se trouvent sur cette barre transparente qui n’est pas tactile. C’est donc au-dessus, sur l’écran, qu’il faut presser pour les activer. On peut être déconcerté de prime abord, mais on s’y fait assez vite.
